
Mr. David Hawrysh earned a business degree from Concordia University in 1976 and obtained his C.A. designation in 1979.
Prior to joining Canderel in 1982, Mr. Hawrysh spent six years with a large regional firm of chartered accountants. As a manager for the firm, he handled a broad range of clients including several major participants in the real estate industry.
Mr. Hawrysh handles all corporate and project financing for Canderel. This function involves arranging for construction financing for new projects, long term "take out" financing for projects upon completion, bridge and long term financing for acquisitions, refinancing, corporate lines of credit as well as all other Canderel financing requirements. Furthermore, he handles the corporate and project risk management functions which involve loss prevention, analysis of insurance requirements and placement of insurance coverage. In addition, he oversees long term strategic income tax planning, real estate tax matters, and portfolio and cash management. In connection with this, Mr. Hawrysh co-ordinates all financial aspects of real estate acquisitions and disposals.
With his background in accounting and finance and over 30 years of real estate industry experience, Mr. Hawrysh has the skills necessary to ensure that Canderel has access to competitively priced sources of capital, enabling the company to successfully meet today's real estate challenges.
