Canderel Stoneridge has successfully launched the final phase of their amazing College Park project in February of 2008. By July of 2009, sales at AURA had recorded 884 sales out of a total of 931 – that’s 95% of the entire building sold, making AURA one of the fastest selling condominium projects in the Greater Toronto Area. AURA at College Park is a retail and condominium complex located at the northwest corner of Gerrard and Yonge Street at College Park. The project underwent the first local and international design review process ever done in Ontario. A panel of three top local architects that included Rene Menkes, Bruce Kuwabara, and Eberheard Zeidler, and two international architects, Jon Pikard and Josh Chaiken scrutinized all aspects of the building with city officials and our architects, Graziani + Corazza. Most of the project’s original design remained intact with emphasis placed on the podium level where it meets the street. The result of the process has been a building design destined to be a landmark development in the city. Official approval was received from the Ontario Municipal Board in November, 2007.
Approval is for a 75 storey condominium tower standing 243 meters in height with possible increase to 85 storeys Aura will boast 1.3 million sq.ft. of space. 1.1 million will be devoted exclusively to residential and 180,000 sq.ft. will be prime retail space in the podium. The result is Canada's largest single residential tower consisting of 931 residential suites.
The building will showcase the finest in amenity space, suite finishes, and environmental features. A direct underground link to the College Park complex and subway station will connect residents to over 300,000 sq.ft. of retail without stepping outside.
Aura was launched in February 2008 to the broker and public communities with great success. After 8 months, Aura sold over 860 units making it the fastest selling residential project in North America.
